Halloween fun and festivities

October is one of my favorite times of the year (obviously second to August and the State Fair) because it means family costuming for Halloween! We always try to come up with handmade/homemade costumes, where we can find thrift store treasures to complete our outfits. Typically, my husband also participates, but one of his favorite bands is playing in concert on Halloween proper this year, so he got the boot... this time.

The Cat in the Hat

Malcolm gets the credit for coming up with the costume this year. He loves a good story book and the Cat in the Hat ride at Universal Studios is a family favorite as well. Check us out in costume for a recent Halloween party below. In case it's been a while since you've read the Cat in the Hat, I'm obviously the Cat, EV is Sally, and Malcolm is the narrator. We also have the fish who is the voice of reason in it all.
