Ever wanted to immerse yourself in the jungle and relax on the beach on the same trip?

Costa Rica - 6 days

This family of 5 wanted to get some adventurous activities in but also have some time relaxing on a beach. Costa Rica is an excellent location to do just that! Bonus: the mom is a Spanish teacher, so she can speak the language fluently and get even more immersed in the culture of the area!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Aerial Tram, Ziplines, & Hanging Bridges Adventure

Today they will enjoy the Sky Walk - where they can walk through the jungle via a series of suspended bridges, and really take in the natural surroundings. They'll also get to experience adrenaline-pumping ziplines through the jungle canopy!

Day 2 - Kayaking on Lake Arenal

Another day of adventure, where they will strengthen their body as well as enjoy the lush vegetation filled with aquatic birds like kingfisher, ospreys, cormorants, anhingas, and even toucans! Howler monkey calls will be on the playlist as they explore the area by water.

Day 3 - Waterfalls Tour

Back on land today, they will enjoy a tour of some amazing Arenal area waterfalls, such as Pino Blanco Waterfall and La Fortuna Waterfall, where they'll also get the opportunity to swim in the crystalline waters.

Day 4 - Transfer to Papagayo with Rafting Class

What better way to transfer to their next hotel than to have a private whitewater rafting class on the way?  They'll stop at the Tenorio River, a powerful river with class III-IV rapids, and learn the ropes before having a traditional lunch and continuing on.

Day 5 - Palo Verde Boat Tour

Palo Verde Park has one of the best hydrologic systems for birdwatching, as it creates the right conditions in the zone to produce the most important concentration of birds in the country and Central America. They'll enjoy a boat tour through the park today, and see what other animals they can see too!

Day 6 - Beach Day

Today they've got nothing planned but a nice beach day at the hotel. With beautiful beaches, Papagayo is a great location to enjoy restful days in the sun.
