March 5, 2025 - 6 Day London Extension
Did you know that if you've already got a portion of a trip planned, I can help with an extension, like I did with this family? They are meeting up with their extended family in Germany to get back to their heritage and do some genealogy-digging, but these three wanted to also check out London (since they were flying all the way over to Europe already). They enlisted my help to get them their flights to/from Europe, as well as to plan a 6 day extension in England!
London - 6 Day Extension
They had interest in seeing some historical sites, as well as checking out Liverpool - they are Beatles fans!
Itinerary
Day 1 - Tour of London
When time is short, I love to plan a London in a Day tour. This is a great tour that gets travelers all around London, seeing the most famous sites like Westminster Abbey, the Changing of the Guards, and the Tower of London.
Day 2 - WWII History Day
Today they are checking out Churchill's War Rooms and the Westminster area from a WWII perspective. They have the rest of the day free to explore and grab a bite to eat.
Day 3 - Beatlesmania!
You say, "Goodbye [to London]" and I say "Hello, Hello, Hello [to Liverpool]!" They'll head off to Liverpool and explore some of the iconic locations that inspired such hits as Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, and more.
Day 4 - Afternoon Tea
What trip to England can be complete without enjoying an afternoon tea? They'll do it in style at The Milestone Hotel in Kensington Court, which overlooks Kensington Palace, the former home of Princess Diana.
Day 5 - Leeds Castle, Canterbury, & the Cliffs of Dover
Today they head out of London for a daytrip to Leeds Castle, Canterbury, and the iconic Cliffs of Dover. All their transportation is taken care of so they can enjoy the views together.
Day 6 - Old City of London Walking Tour
They wanted to see more historic places in London, so they opted for an Old City walking tour. In this tour, they'll learn more about the Great Fire of London, and the Roman settlements.
