September 5, 2024 - What am I Working On? Detroit Lakes, MN

Sometimes I get folks who don't want to travel far and away, but want a special experience closer to home. This is not the typical request, but still something I can assist with!

Detroit Lakes, MN - 6 days

These clients are a family coming from 3 cities in South Dakota. They wanted a roadtrip experience that wasn't too far away but that allowed for ample activities for everyone: grandparents, parents, and kids. As they lived in opposite ends of South Dakota, the range for how far away they wanted to go was fairly narrow, but in the end they decided upon the Fair Hills Resort in Detroit Lakes, MN. 

This resort is very akin to the one featured in the movie Dirty Dancing (hopefully without all the side drama though!). Staff host organized activities, offer sports lessons, coordinate group games and crafts, and even put on a talent show each week! For those not wanting to participate in group activities, the beach is available, and there are water slides and recreation as well.
