Belize - 2022
Jeff & Kathleen had gotten married during COVID, and wanted to book their honeymoon now that restrictions had started being lifted. Initially they weren’t sure exactly where they wanted to go, mentioning Hawaii and NYC in the same breath (probably not the most doable plan for the time period they had in mind). We chatted further to determine what about each place was calling to them, and what they pictured themselves doing (or not doing) on their honeymoon. They are both adventurous people - enjoying hiking, snowmobiling, and generally being outside in nature - but also wanted a component of relaxation and being able to sit at the beach. Belize was just the ticket for them, with a split stay between rainforest and caye.
While in the rainforest, the stayed at Chaa Creek and were able to experience quite a few activities. They enjoyed the pace of it and the adventure, saying “All we had to do was show up ready for our next experience!” Then I had them pack up and go to Ambergris Caye for a more beachy relaxed vibe. They had a golf cart rental at their disposal and were able to relax a bit. Of course they did enjoy a flyover of the great Blue Hole, and did some snorkeling too, but at a slightly more relaxed pace.
