Another pair of winners to see the Paralympics (see previous post), and they also made the smart choice to use me to plan an extension to their trip! They decided they wanted to see southern Europe more than London & Ireland, though, with Italy & Croatia being their bucket list choices.
Read MoreGetting to see portions of the Paralympics is something most people don’t get to say they’ve done, however these clients can! They won tickets from their work for a few days at the Paris Paralympics and decided to extend their trip to London & Ireland afterwards. While the Paralympic portion was taken care of by corporate, the rest of the trip was up to them, and they decided to use me to plan it - smart choice!
Read MoreItaly has been a popular destination this year - you’ve probably noticed this if you look back at posts, and guess what: you’ll see another post coming in the next few days as well! This trip was for a family of 4 who wanted to experience Italy (and their first family trip to Europe) for the first time.
Read MoreI really love planning family trips. I especially love families that are adventurous and think outside the box, like this family. They decided to see Coldplay in Düsseldorf, and then created a whole vacation around that! They hit up Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Zürich, Sorrento, and Rome on their trip.
Read MoreWhile Italy is definitely a top country I get requests to plan trips for, this couple dived a little deeper than most of my clients do. They wanted to see some of the more obscure churches and sites of Rome that many pass by unnoticed. They also decided to stay in Cinque Terre for a bit, and check out the town (and cathedral) of Assisi. They enjoyed the Accademia in Florence, and finished off in Como for a relaxing stay on the lake.
Read MoreThe Baltic countries - a less traveled portion of Europe - called to my client. He usually prefers more active trips (hiking and a bit more strenuous than city tour walks), but he couldn’t pass up an opportunity to see Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, as well as Finland and Sweden.
Read MoreRepeat clients are the best… and it’s even better when they’ve added to the family! That’s the case with these amazing clients of mine and their newest addition. Their journey was quick, but it was really just a test run anyways, so that was ok with them. The best news? Baby did great!
Read MoreThese ladies were in their senior year of college when they reached out to me, hoping that I could help them plan their trip to the United Kingdom & Ireland. They were going in late May/early June, and wanted to spend close to 3 weeks abroad. They had modest budgets and hopes of exploring as they felt led. Their parents, however, were not as keen on that idea, and enlisted my help.
Read MoreI don’t play favorites with clients but I do have some favorite itineraries that clients have picked. This one is definitely in that list. These clients are a family of 3, parents of a teenager, and they know how to knock bucketlist items off said bucketlist. This time, they decided to hit Paris, Italy, and the pyramids in Egypt off their list in one fell swoop!
Read MoreMy clients decided to do a final trip of 2023 to Spain to use up some airline credits before they expired (PS - I can totally help you plan the land portion if you want to use up credits from an airline!). They were fairly open to where to go within Spain (as long as they got to see many art museums and the area around Seville. They even got to go to a Real Madrid football match!
Read MoreWho doesn’t love a superfan of a sports team? These clients LOVE the Minnesota Wild, but they’ve moved away from the frozen tundra that is MN to the east coast, and don’t get to go to games often anymore. One of them has Swedish heritage, so when it was announced that the Wild would be playing a couple games in Stockholm, they jumped on those tickets and called me to plan a trip for them!
Read MoreMy client took was a walking trip from Avignon, France to Barcelona, Spain with a group of other travelers. However she started her trip in Paris, enjoying a few nights in a cool boutique hotel before taking the train down to Avignon and staying there a bit before her tour started. After her walking tour ended, she enjoyed a few days in Barcelona before heading home!
Read MoreMy clients wanted a trifecta of honeymoon experiences: Enjoying London, Edinburgh, and Paris. Their time in Edinburgh overlapped both the Fringe Art Festival and the Scottish Military Tattoo performances, in London they were lucky enough to be able to catch a performance of Macbeth at the Globe Theater, and Paris meant romance, and they enjoyed checking out the palace of Versailles, a culture tour through the Marais neighborhood, and of course the Eiffel Tower.
Read MoreI have several clients who are solo travelers who prefer to join an escorted group to experience the destinations they want to visit. One such client just returned from a whirlwind trip through the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and France. She had a great time, enjoyed making friends with the other people on the tour, and took some amazing pictures along the way!
Read MoreI love it when families make it a priority to travel with their kids. It’s definitely something the kids remember for the rest of their lives. Check out the photos from a recent family’s trip to Iceland and Ireland!
Read MoreMy clients decided they wanted to go visit some special places in Germany & Austria that their ancestors were from and I was able to put it all together for them, making it a memorable time of sisterly bonding for them. They enjoyed exploring Munich, saw a few castles, explored a namesake distillery in Berchtesgaden, enjoyed a couple days in Salzburg (including a classical concert in the famous Mirabell Palace) and then finished off in Stuttgart before heading back home.
Read MoreSpain is a beautiful country anytime you go, but my clients happened to be there when it turned downright magical - Semana Santa (Holy Week). During this week, churches go full out with parades and performances, and it seems that around every corner there is something unique to be seen.
Read MoreA wonderful family of 5 decided that they needed to spend their winter break in Paris and Denmark, meeting and staying with family friends for some of the time, and exploring a bit on their own as well.
Read MoreVienna and Salzburg are distinctly different but both represent aspects of Austria that make this country unique. From architecture to gardens to the Von Trapp family history, you are sure to find something you like in Austria!
Read MorePrague and the rest of the Czech Republic has so much to offer. The food there is delicious—loads of dumplings and potatoes with savory meats—and the landscapes are delightful. Going there alone aside from my 10 month old was also easier than I expected, everyone was helpful and kind when I needed assistance, and Prague is not hard to get around. I mainly wore my son, though, as the streets are cobbled and uneven and a stroller may have been difficult to push.
