Family Italy Trip - 2024
Italy has been a popular destination this year - you’ve probably noticed this if you look back at posts, and guess what: you’ll see another post coming in the next few days as well! This trip was for a family of 4 who wanted to experience Italy (and their first family trip to Europe) for the first time. They knew they didn’t want an escorted tour where they were with a bunch of other people the whole time, as they wanted some down time as well as the ability to do what they wanted and see the things that interested them.
They started in Venice, exploring the City of Bridges and navigating the twists and turns the canals create. They also took a tour of the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, and St. Mark’s Basilica before heading down to Rome.
In Rome, they did the typical Vatican Museums & St. Peter’s Basilica (and of course saw the Sistine Chapel) and Colosseum and Roman Forum combo, but they also did a bike ride along the Appian Way to experience history in a more active way!
From Rome they went down to Sorrento, making a stop at Pompeii along the way. In Sorrento they stayed at a beautiful property with walkways and vistas galore, and enjoyed a daytrip to Capri.
